His first two clients as an independent consultant are Fortune 250 companies – Wells Fargo and Capital One. Previously, Rich was: Vice president of PR and advertising for CFA Institute, a Virginia-based, global association of investment professionals. Managing director at Hill and Knowlton – one of the world’s premier PR consultancies. He led a major consumer-awareness campaign for the state of California and led the agency’s West Coast employee communications practice. Assistant vice president, employee communications, and later, vice president, public communications, for a $50 billion, multi-state commercial bank. Senior account executive at Edelman Public Relations, the world’s largest independent PR firm.
Rich earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Brigham Young University in 1987. He does volunteer work through his church and regularly leads men’s personal-growth retreats across the United States. He lives with his family in Central Virginia.
